Mile High Dental Anesthesia - What Drives Us
At Mile High Dental Anesthesia, your child’s comfort, safety, and positive dental experience is our number one priority.
We strive to create an experience that allows you, and most importantly, your little one, to feel relaxed and well-cared for on their day of surgery. To accomplish our mission, we provide our anesthesia services in the comfort of your home dental office. We believe that a comfortable and familiar environment only helps to create a stress-free experience.
Dr. Rebecca Rees and Dr. Brett Wallen offer over 30 years of combined expertise in the field of anesthesia. Our passion is to ensure that the appointment for your family is pleasant, from the first phone call to subsequent post-op interaction.
Your child’s well-being and smile are the reason we wake up everyday and why we are so passionate about what we do!
Meet the Team
Dr. Rebecca Rees
Dr. Rees was born and raised in Arizona but has happily called Colorado home since 2006. She attended Arizona State University and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Justice Studies; she was accepted into the Phi Beta Kappa national honor society during her time at ASU. Upon graduation, Dr. Rees had a change of heart and decided that the medical field, not the legal field, was her calling.
Dr. Rebecca attended the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 2012. After spending time in the operating room at The Children’s Hospital of Colorado during her pediatric dental rotations, Dr. Rees was further drawn to the rewarding sense of service that comes with providing anesthesia to dental patients who otherwise would not be able to complete their much-needed dental treatment. After spending one year as a general dentist, Dr. Rees attended and completed her anesthesia residency at NYU Langone/Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Rebecca serves the needs of patients in both Colorado and abroad; it is her philosophy that no patient, children and special needs populations in particular, should go without dental treatment out of fear or the inability to ‘make it through’ an appointment. Dr. Rees has worked in private practice in Colorado since 2015.
Dr. Rees and her family enjoy all that Colorado has to offer. In her free time, she enjoys conquering Colorado’s Fourteeners, trying new restaurants, and, most of all, traveling. She has a special place in her heart for dogs; she and her husband have rescued multiple four-legged friends and wish they could rescue even more! Dr. Rebecca looks forward to meeting you soon!

He functioned as an attending anesthesiologist and was course director for many core curriculum and graduate anesthesia courses offerings throughout the University of Pittsburgh.
He moved to Colorado in 2004 and was employed by the University of Colorado, School of Medicine and Children’s Hospital Colorado as an Associate Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology from 2004-2020.
