Eating and Drinking
Please have nothing to eat 8 hours prior to your scheduled arrival time. Breast milk is permitted 6 hours prior to arrival time. Clear fluids are permitted 2 hours prior to scheduled arrival time (water, sports drinks).
Changes in Health
Please inform the dental office if your child becomes acutely ill, such as high fever, new productive cough, runny nose, or vomiting. We may discuss the need to reschedule your appointment for the safety and well-being of your child.
Arrival
One parent/guardian must accompany your child to the dental office and must remain in the dental office until treatment is complete. Please leave siblings at home.
Clothing
Please dress your child in comfortable clothing. Please bring a blanket. Please bring a change of diaper and change of clothing for your child.
Medications
Please continue to have your child continue to take all prescribed medications at normal times with a sip of water. Please discuss with your anesthesiologist prior to giving your child any over the counter medications prior to your appointment.
Getting Home
It is preferred that your child be accompanied by two responsible adults. However, we understand this is not always possible. Someone should be available to drive you/your child home. Public transportation is not preferred.
